AidPrep

Your pathway to receiving more financial aid

(Release Date: July 2025)

Even though Federal financial aid has played a crucial role in providing affordable postsecondary education to numerous students, its potential benefits are not fully realized as many students fail to apply. Consequently, billions of dollars in Pell Grants remain unclaimed, and students may miss out on considering all their post-secondary options.

Supportive ED’s AidPrep Series educates students and parents/guardians (in English and Spanish) on the important aspects of the financial aid process. This online course is composed of approximately three hours of engaging and informative content. Each session is broken up into digestible segments, allowing listeners the option of listening to the content all at once, or a little at a time. Our platform easily adapts to computers, tablets, and smartphones, so the content is accessible when you are on the go.

Each session is delivered by our Financial Aid Content Director, Dr. Romeo “Rick” Moreno. Dr. Moreno is a preeminent expert in all matters related to financial aid and public education. Dr. Moreno has over 15 years of leadership experience directing financial aid operations at institutions of higher education. He also taught at the secondary school level and held Director roles for two U.S. Department of Education (USDE) grants; GEAR UP and Upward Bound.

AidPrep provides a comprehensive yet easily digestible overview of the entire financial aid process. The information is delivered in the same sequence as the actual financial aid process (see below), so you will be familiarized with all the steps before you tackle it on your own. To that end, you don't have to tackle it alone with the scheduled live webinars (1-hour each) and option to send financial aid questions 24/7 to Supportive ED. You’ll also gain access to real-world examples and downloadable planning tools, to help you stay organized and confident throughout the journey. Whether you're applying for grants, scholarships, or loans, AidPrep ensures you're equipped every step of the way.
