PathwayPrep
A Guided Learning Experience for Students and the Families Who Support Them
Planning for life after high school is not a solo journey. Students need guidance, and parents need clarity, tools, and confidence to support the process effectively. PathwayPrep is a structured, online postsecondary readiness learning experience developed by Supportive ED, an organization with deep roots in public education and years of experience helping students and families navigate critical academic and postsecondary decisions.
Designed for students and the parents who guide them, PathwayPrep provides a clear, age-appropriate roadmap that removes uncertainty and replaces it with direction, preparation, and purpose.
Built by Public Education Experts...Designed for Real Families
Supportive ED understands the realities of public education and the challenges families face when preparing for what comes next. Many students are expected to make big decisions with limited information, while parents are left trying to support the process without a clear framework.
PathwayPrep bridges that gap. Through guided instruction, reflection, and practical planning tools, PathwayPrep helps:
- Students understand themselves, their goals, and their options
- Parents become informed partners in the decision-making process
- Families move forward with shared language, expectations, and next steps
This is not a one-time course or last-minute checklist. PathwayPrep is a developmentally aligned readiness series that grows with students and keeps families engaged every step of the way.
A Structured Pathway from Middle School Through Postsecondary
PathwayPrep is intentionally designed as a multi-level series that aligns with key academic, developmental, and planning milestones from middle school through high school, and into postsecondary life.
PathwayPrep Levels Include:
- Grade 7 – Laying the Foundation: Academic habits, motivation, and self-awareness
- Grade 8 – Building Direction: Early planning skills and preparation for high school
- Grade 9 – Exploring Possibilities: Career interests, coursework, and extracurricular alignment
- Grade 10 – Strengthening Focus: Academic engagement, goal connection, and test awareness
- Grade 11 – Refining Readiness: GPA review, college research, scholarships, and résumé development
- Grade 12 – Launching Your Future: Applications, financial aid, and final decision-making
- Postsecondary & Workforce Levels: Continued guidance for re-entry, persistence, and purpose
Each level builds on the last, creating continuity not repetition, and ensuring students are prepared before major decisions arise.
What Students and Parents Will Gain
Every PathwayPrep level includes 10 interactive sections, each designed to be completed in 45–60 minutes. Lessons are clear, engaging, and practical, allowing students to learn independently while giving parents visibility into what’s being taught and why it matters.
Across the series, learners develop:
- Academic Readiness
Study skills, organization, GPA awareness, and self-advocacy - Career Awareness & Exploration
Guided reflection connecting interests to real-world pathways - Postsecondary Planning Knowledge
College and career research, timelines, financial aid awareness, and financial literacy - Personal & Life Skills
Time management, communication, confidence, and goal setting
By the end of the PathwayPrep journey, students will have a comprehensive readiness portfolio, and parents will have a clearer understanding of how to support next steps with confidence.
